Hi,

i am looking for a replacemant for my Adaptec 1505 (ISA) which i use to
connect my AGFA Scanner. Since my new motherboard has no longer
ISA-Slots i am looking for a cheap SCSI controller card, that has a DB25
external connector.

Thanks

Mario

eBay a 2940 and get an adapter or new cable. Easy, cheap, and
effective.

So there are adapters from the DB50 connector from the 2940 to the DB25
from the scanner?

Not only adapters, but

cables -- a cable is the
most sensible solution
imo. If you have no
bootable SCSI devices
(e.g. hard/CD-ROM drive)
then you don't even need
a 2940, you can use an
equivalent card without
a SCSI BIOS -- and those
can be had for pennies
on eBay. Just make sure
that driver support is
available for your OS.

Sure are. Cables too. I've a 2940 hooked up to an HP scanner (only
device on that board) and I tried both. I liked the cable better (less
junk hanging off the card...) but both worked just fine.

You can get an Adaptec 2906 if your only external device is 25 pin.
