hi there,

its all because my new scsi device - compaq dlt streamer, i want to
connect it to my pc. i
have pci host adapter (adaptec2940uw) how do i connect it?
there is 'scsi in' and 'scsi out' on my streamer and streamer is
connected thru 'scsi in' and to external port on host adapter - do i
need to put a terminator on 'scsi out'? its the one and only device on
host adapter.
and what kind of terminator? active / passive etc.?

1. You need to use the occasional upper-case character.

2. Yes, you absolutely must put the correct type of terminator on
'SCSI-OUT', unless there is an option to specify self-termination on
your streamer (but this is probably not possible).

ad.1 I'll try :)

Thx for answer, it doesn't have self termination, so i need to plug
terminator, it's 50 pin external, but i heard that there are many kinds
of terminators, which is suitable for me?

i can offer you a bunch of int. + ext. 50pin terminators , which are
left over here if you pay the shipping .

in general passive and active will work , but beware off "DIFF" .
