The 19160 is borrowed from my employer.
Hey, I'm trying hard to find a reason for the problems I encountered,
that includes trying different HBAs and cables. :)
I will have a closer look at my cables this weekend trying to find out
if diffsens is connected or not.
Well, I learned more about SCSI since this thread started than I did
before.
Oh besides, why is it ok to have an SE terminator on an LVD drive connected
to an LVD HBA as you mentioned?

Because an LVD bus falls back to SE mode whenever a SE device (that
includes terminators) is connected.
(Provided then that the SE devices do have the diffsens pin grounded).
