Adaptec AHA2940 and Seagate Cheetah

SCSI Bios seems to load OK but sometimes it sees this disk and
sometimes it does'nt. In the SCSI Bios utility - same again - sometimes
its there sometimes not.

When I can get it to work Windows NT loads and then kernel dumps (blue
screen) shortly afterwards with an error in AICxxxx (which I assume is
the Adaptec driver?).

SCSI cables is terminated correctly and I've also tried another cable.
Any ideas at all? Or does this sound like a knackered HD?

I've got the same setup & it works flawlessly.

Try re-seating the cables & card. I'd blame the disk before the adapter.
