I have a NT 4 sever with an Adaptec 19160 scsi card and an internal
Quantum dlt VS80 tape drive. When I run backups NT event viewer shows
"The driver detected a controller error on \device\scsiport2" this
happens at about the same time as Veritas backup log shows an IO
error, and my backup stops. This happens at random points in the
backup sequence, after about 8 G of data transfer.
I'm using the latest drivers for the scsi card and the tape drive.

As a check I put the scsi card and tape drive in another PC with Win
XP and I am able to backup data just fine.

IS there some setting on the card por the bios of the server that
would cause this IO error on the server?
