How to connect SCSI disk to PC |

Hi,
I want to buy SCSI disk to my PC. I'm inderested in 18,4 GB Ultra160
SCSI Seagate Chetah 15.000. Model :ST318452LC.
What controller I need to connect it to PCI in my MB.

An Ultra-2 should suffice. Like Adaptec AHA-2940U2 family.

Get a cheap Adaptec 2940U2W or Tekram 390U2W on the used
market. Make sure you get a cable as well.

Note that an ....LC drive has an 80-pin connector that carries both
signals and power, so you'll need to get the appropriate adapter to go
between the drive and the 68-pin signal connector and the 4-pin power
connector.

Don't you have to buy a Ultra160 compatible SCSI card to work with
a Ultra160 drive?

No. In this case it's a waste of money to buy a U160-card.
SCSI is backwards compatible.
