Hi all ...
Yes, I finally broke down and bought a new almost-clone to do
some video editing.
Of course first thing was that I overlooked that the ^$*&$(@#*$&( thing
didn't have any Firewire ports so I had to add those.
While I was in the case I noticed that two of the empty slots have
these tiny little black connectors that I have never seen before.
I looked this up and they would appear to be "PCI Express X1" slots.
Question ... is there anything at all that uses these things or is it a
foregone conslusion that I am going to have to dump my modem at some
point in exchange for something more "interesting"?
