[Slightly OT] Any interest in SCSI passthrough libraries? |
|
|
Over the past years I have written a number of SCSI passthrough libraries
for a diverse range of operating systems. The beauty of the system is that
the API exposed by the library is consistent across all operating systems.
Currently available are Win32 (auto SPTI and ASPI-32), Linux, Mac OS-X, AIX,
Solaris, Solaris-x86, FreeBSD and NetBSD. Source code that compiles with gcc
against these libraries works equally well on any of these operating
systems. I have used them to create diagnostics tools for tape drives and
media changers, and they are equally well suited for disk, CD/DVD or other
SCSI devices (some limitations exist on some OSes, like MacOS-X).
I'm planning to sell binary and/or source licenses and support for these
libraries. If anyone is interested, drop me an e-mail (beware of the spam
trap..)
Rob
P.S. I also have a Netware 5 and higher passthrough library for NLM
development, with a different API. |
