Where can I buy one of those internal SCSI cables with 64-pin
connectors one of which can be mounted in place of a PCI card to make
an internal on-board SCSI HBA available to the external devices?

There's all kinds of places if you just search the net. I just bought
an adapter to do the opposite of what you're doing, but what you're
doing is more common.
I wish I knew where the Uber-deal place was for adapters, but have not
found it, yet anyway. To convert one of my external hvdci connectors to
an hd68, the least expensive I could find was this place:

Just got, and connected the adapter tonight actually, and the Mylex
1164P is working away expanding my little 1 drive per channel, 3 drive
array right now.
